Dr. Alicia Telega

Dr. Telega started the Scleral Lens Center of Pittsburgh in order to bring her expertise in fitting scleral lenses to Pittsburgh and the surrounding area.  Scleral lenses can provide a level of vision and comfort that is largely unattainable in gas permeable contact lenses, soft contact lenses, or glasses in patients suffering from corneal disease.  Conditions including keratoconus, corneal degenerations, dry eye, Sjorgen's Disease, post-corneal transplants, post-trauma/injury, post-corneal surgery (including PRK, LASIK, LASEK, and RK) and corneal scarring are a few of the conditions that can benefit visually from a scleral lens.  With that in mind, Dr. Telega has started this practice in order to bring a new level of care and knowledge to her patients.
